Tony Ploszajski
Tony is a highly respected leisure consultant with almost 40-years’ experience in the public and private sports sectors. Tony received a Masters degree from the University of Cambridge and a Postgraduate Diploma in Planning for Leisure at the Polytechnic of North London. Following twelve years of high-profile roles with Sport England, he became a management consultant in 1995. In 2001, he co-founded Ploszajski Lynch Consulting Ltd. with Jim Lynch and has since been an integral part of the company’s development into one of the most highly-regarded and successful specialist sports, leisure and cultural consultancy practices in the UK.
His project work for PLC includes a sports development plan to support the successful London 2012 Olympic bid, a ground-breaking study on sport and physical activity as a form of agricultural and forestry diversification, a sports needs assessment to support a successful planning appeal by Harrow School for a £60 million facilities complex and more than forty sports facilities and playing pitch strategies for local authorities.
Tony has been an active athlete all his life, evolving from a 110m and 400m hurdler (achieving a Cambridge ‘Blue’ and representing the South of England AA) to completing the Paris Marathon in his sixtieth year in 2019. He was a Games Maker during the London 2012 Olympics and is a lifelong follower of West Ham United FC.
