At the turn of the year we worked with property consultants Savills and Exning FC in West Suffolk to explore relocation of the club’s ground from Lacey’s Lane in Exning. The club currently plays on a site owned by the Exning Estate but have outgrown the site and have found that their youth development is constrained by a lack of access to pitches. The Estate has generously offered to make a much larger site available at a location adjacent to Exning Cricket Club.
We were commissioned to advise on the pros and cons of this reloaction, to advise on the facility mix and to look at potential synergies with the cricket and tennis clubs. We advised on the number and sizes of pitches, the possibility of installing 3G and the siting of a new pavilion. We provided capital cost estimates.
Savills, who manage the Exning Estate, have accepted our report and are moving to the next stage of planning. The featured photo shows the location of Exning CC.
